Master Scholarship ITB

There is possibility for you to get a scholarship for Master program in electrical engineering specializing in game and digital media technology in ITB. The scholarshipas are available from the cooperation of ITB-PMPTK , ITB-Program Beasiswa Unggulan BPKLN DIKNAS, ITB-Dirjen DIKTI, ITB-Seamolec, for Distance Learning and Double-Degree Program.

98 Scholarships for Non- Degree Training in Australia.

There are 98 awards (scholarships) available for undergraduates who have got work experience and those who did not complete undergraduate study with longer work experience to pursue a professional development training in Australia. If you are selected, you have to stay in Australia for 1 to 4 months with the total fund of $UASD 20.000,00.


The Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities (e.g. intensive management training, peer-to-peer learning, short-term training, leadership and/or executive management training) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government from participating countries. The Awards focus on building skills and knowledge through a host work environment rather than through formal enrolment in a study program at a host institution and are not intended to fund direct academic research.

Applicants must be nominated by either their home organisation or host organisation. The professional development activity must not have a commercial outcome as its purpose. Host organisations for international Executive Award applicants cannot include Australian branches of the applicant's home organisation.

A home or host organisation may nominate up to 5 applicants.
The Endeavour Executive Awards aim to:
• enable high achieving professionals to further develop their skills and knowledge
• deepen professional engagements between Australia and participating countries
• strengthen mutual understanding between the people of Australia and Award Holders’ home countries
• build linkages and networks between Australia and participating countries
• allow professionals the opportunity, on returning home, to share their updated skills and knowledge with colleagues.

AWARD BENEFITS
Funding Amount
Travel Allowance $AUD5,000
Establishment Allowance $AUD5,000
Monthly Stipend (up to 4 months on a pro-rata basis) $AUD2,500
per month
Total Award Value Up to $AUD20,000

Travel and health insurance will be provided.
Funds are not available to support accompanying dependants or for return visits home.
In addition to the financial benefits the Endeavour Executive Awards also include:
• A dedicated support network for the duration of the Award.
• Membership of the Alumni network.

NUMBER OF AWARDS
Up to 98 Awards will be offered to applicants from participating countries for 2009.

WHO CAN APPLY
To be eligible for an Endeavour Executive Award, applicants must:
• be citizens or permanent residents of a participating country and reside in a country other than Australia. Those holding dual Australian citizenship or permanent residency status in Australia are ineligible to apply.

• have a completed undergraduate degree and at least 5 years professional work experience or applicants not holding a completed undergraduate degree will need to demonstrate at least 10 years relevant work experience

• demonstrate English language proficiency

• be nominated by either their home organisation or the host organisation

• have confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with the host organisation

• spend a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 4 months at their host organisation. The professional development activity must be taken in one block, it cannot be broken into two or more visits to the host country

• Award Holders must commence their approved program and Award during 2009. Applicants who have commenced or intend to commence their program at their host organisation in 2008 are ineligible for an Award.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria:
• high-level academic achievement and at least 5 years relevant work experience or applicants not holding a completed undergraduate degree will need to demonstrate at least 10 years relevant work experience

• a proposal that is relevant to the applicant’s needs and interests and those of the applicant's home country

• the applicant’s potential to participate at a high level in their profession or the wider community on their return home from Australia

• the potential for ongoing links between the host and home organisations.

Scholarship of US$ 40.000 for women

If you are a woman. This scholarship may be for you. If not, somebody you know may meet the qualifications to win this scholarship.

The international Fellowships are awarded to promising young women scientists, at the doctoral or postdoctoral level, to undertake a research project in the life sciences which has been accepted by a reputable institution outside their home country. 15 international Fellowships are awarded each year. Each Fellowship is worth a maximum of US$40,000 to cover a research period of up to 24 months.


Application for the 2010 cycle of the UNESCO-L’ORÉAL For Women in Science International Fellowships is now open.

What are the UNESCO-L’ORÉAL For Women in Science International Fellowships? The Fellowships are jointly offered by UNESCO and L’ORÉAL, as part of the For Women In Science Programme, to support and promote women in scientific research all over the world.
The international Fellowships are awarded to promising young women scientists, at the doctoral or postdoctoral level, to undertake a research project in the life sciences which has been accepted by a reputable institution outside their home country. 15 international Fellowships are awarded each year. Each Fellowship is worth a maximum of US$40,000 to cover a research period of up to 24 months.

The Fellowship beneficiaries are geographically spread, three Fellows being selected from each of the following regions: Africa; Arab States; Asia & the Pacific; Europe & North America; and Latin America & the Caribbean.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must be female and no more than 35 years old (born after 1 January 1975). Preference will be given to candidates already possessing a PhD degree (or equivalent) in the field of life sciences at the time of application. However, applications from doctoral students will be considered.

Candidates must already be engaged in and undertake research in one or allied fields of life sciences, including biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, medicine, pharmacy and physiology. Projects involving animal models (i.e. experimentation using vertebrate laboratory animals) will not be accepted; and preference is given to non cosmetic researches.

DEADLINE
The deadline for submission to UNESCO headquarters is 30th June 2009. Applications from UK citizens must be submitted through the UK National Commission for UNESCO and received by 1st June 2009.

Applications for VESKI Innovation Fellowships for take up in financial year 2009/10 are NOW OPEN with submissions closing at 5pm on Friday, 22nd May 2009.

The VESKI Innovation Fellowships are open to individuals in the fields of science, technology and design specifically relating to innovative technology, biotechnology, design, advanced manufacturing, environmental technologies, or the enabling sciences and technologies.

In addition to the above named fields; the 2009/10 Call for Applications encourages submissions in the areas of:

Clinical Research focusing on Health Outcomes; &
Renewable Energy Generation & Demand Management.

The VESKI Innovation Fellowships (Australian) are awarded annually to outstanding Australian expatriates in the fields of science, technology or design.

The VESKI Innovation Fellowships (non-Australian) are awarded annually to outstanding researchers who are not Australian citizens, but who may wish to undertake research in Victoria.

VESKI offers VESKI Innovation Fellowships (Non-Australian) to outstanding individuals who are not Australian citizens, but who may wish to undertake research in Victoria. They must demonstrate that they will bring outstanding skills and specialised expertise to the Victorian community.

Successful individuals can receive up to AUD$50,000 per annum for a maximum of five years. These funds must be matched with financial funding and in-kind contributions from a host organisation such as an academic/research institution or company.

Evaluation and Application requirements
The VESKI Innovation Fellowships (Non Australian) are open to individuals who meet the following criteria in fields of science, technology and design specifically relating to innovative technology, biotechnology, design, advanced manufacturing, environmental technologies, or the enabling sciences and technologies.
In addition to the above named fields; the 2009/10 Call for Applications encourages submissions in the areas of:

Clinical Research focusing on Health Outcomes; &

Eligibility criteria for VESKI Victorian Innovation Fellowship (Non Australian):
1.1 Have worked overseas for the past 12 months;
1.2 Matched funding organised (or able to organise) from a host organization;
1.3 Outstanding achievement and capabilities in the fields of science, technology or design; and
1.4 The Fellowship must be taken up within one year of the award.

Assessment Criteria and Selection
Applications will be screened for eligibility at the time of application. All eligible applications for the VESKI Fellowships will be considered by the Selection Panel.
The Selection Panel will be drawn from the VESKI Board or Sub-Committee of the Board which includes leading members of Victoria’s science, technology and design sectors. The Selection Panel may also seek assistance from appropriate specialists in the field of the application.

The Selection Panel will assess applications against the following key criteria:
• Outstanding achievement in their field;
• International recognition and standing in their peer group;
• Potential to contribute to fostering an innovative culture in Victoria;
• Potential development of an industry sector;
• Potential for public benefit; and
• Capacity to disseminate the skills and knowledge throughout Victoria.

These criteria could be met, for example, by:
• Demonstrating linkages to Victoria’s knowledge base or technological strengths;
• Plans for commercialization of the planned research.
The Selection Panel makes recommendation for the VESKI Innovation Fellowship (Non Australian) to the VESKI Board for final approval. All recommendations and decisions by the Selection Panel and VESKI Board are final and challenges will not be considered.
VESKI reserves the right not to make awards in any year.

Successful applicants should note that in the event of an award of a VESKI Fellowship, a description of their research project will be publicised.

Obligations of Winners
VESKI’s aim to build Victoria’s intellectual capital in science, knowledge and innovation is achieved through shared knowledge and experience.

As a VESKI Innovation Fellowship recipient, you will be called upon to support achieving this objective. It is expected that the VESKI Fellow will take advantage of any opportunities that may present through their public role or through the media to acknowledge VESKI's support and role in the Victorian community.

American University's Kogod School of Business - Washington Semester Program is inviting junior (= mahasiswa tahun ke tiga) and senior (= mahasiswa tahun ke empat ) undergraduate students majoring in Business Management from around the world to apply for the prestigious sixty year old program of experiential learning in International Business and Trade starting August 2009. The fall of 2009 experience is particularly unique: students will have the opportunity to interact with the newly elected president's economic team in the White House, State Department, Treasury Department, Commerce Department, US- Trade Representatives, Federal Reserve Board and US Export Import Bank.


Elected representatives of important committees in the United State Congress and senior officials of International Development organizations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Inter-American Development Bank are also included in this program.
