PhD student positions are available at the Department of Information
Engineering, Second University of Naples, Italy.

Open to: Master degree in Science and Applied Science (Electronic
Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable qualification)

Funding: Net salary of about 1040 Euro per month

Nationality: Any nationality is accepted

The Information Engineering Department is ranked among the first ones
as for research activities of medium-size Italian Universities.
It raises funds from different European and Industrial projects.

PhD research topics include:
Active noise and vibration control, microwave diffraction tomography,
non-linear electronic circuits, distributed optical fiber sensors,
modeling of reliable distributed systems, robust coding and routing
for reliable communications over lossy networks, wireless broadband
communications.

General information:
Aversa is a relatively small and enjoyable city, only 15 km far from Naples.
The cost of living is quite affordable, f.i. a single room can be rent
starting from the 100?200? range.
The average cost for food is 300? per month.
There are good job opportunities with technological industries in the area.
