Admission to the One-year University Foundation Diploma is from Form 5 in Hong
Kong schools or Year 11 in international schools with 5 passes in HKCEEACCSEIGCSE, one of which must be English, or the equivalent from another system. Admission to the Associate Degree Programme is from successful completion of the UFD Programme, or directly from the end of secondary education (Form 7 in Hong Kong and Years 12 or 13 in international and overseas education systems) with 5 passes at HKaEtIGCSE/GCSE, one of which must be English + I A Level or 2 AS levels or the equivalent from another system. Applicants should have reasonable competence in English at IELTS Level 5.5 or better, since they will be immersed in English within the College where the medium of teaching and learning is English.
YCCC has articulation agreements with 35 Universities around the world in USA, UK, Australia, Europe and Canada, and has had Programmes accepted as suitable prior learning for entry into a number of Hong Kong and Asian Universities. YCCC's AD graduates, who meet the necessary requirements set by individual universities, have a wide choice of further study opportunities and can enter into around 100 or more different degree course*. The articulation agreements enable AD graduates with an appropriate CPA and IELTS level to enter into the second year of three-year bachelor degree courses, or to transfer credits and complete a bachelor's degree in two years. A few universities offer to take students into the final year of a degree course (top-up degree courses).
The College has small classes (around 10 to 20) and a highly interactive and tutorial style of teaching and teaming which is much appreciated by the students. As one student puts it- 'For me YCCC is a very special College. The teachers come from different places and they all have rich teaching experience. In YCCC I can use my own ways for teeming. Moreover our College has small class learning and we can study In a good environment and teachers can focus on each student to work out our strengths and weaknesses. I love my College very much."
